Hi my name is Mindy and I'm a makeup junkie. I'm not ashamed to admit this. One of my favorite stores is Sephora. But one of my favorite places to buy makeup is QVC. Why? Well you can usually get good deals on some name brand and high-end makeup and the best part...EASY PAY!! So about 3 weeks ago they had a today's special from Smashbox. I simply could not keep myself from ordering it, LOL!

It was their Photo-Op Mega Palette!!

What it has:

1. 56 Eye Shadows
2. 4 Brow Tech Powders
3. Brow Tech Wax
4. 8 Cream Eyeliners
5. 2 Blushes
6. 3 Soft Lights
7. 4 Lipglosses

Or a total of 78 different products.

I LOVE this palette! first of all the packaging is sturdy and seems very well made. I was worried when I ordered that the packaging would be kind of cheap but I was WRONG!!

Also the colors in this palette is absolutely AH-MAZING!! First there is a such an array of colors from browns to blues to pinks! It's crazy!!

AND the most important part...the colors are very pigmented! You don't have to use a lot to get a great result! I used in this look (I did this for a makeup contest)

Top 5 Things I Wished True Blood Would NOT Have Changed...

SPOILERS OF BOTH THE BOOKS AND SHOW AHEAD.....

These are my Top 5 Things that I wished those crackpots over at HBO would NOT have changed from the books. So here we go:

5. Hot Shot – I am very angry over how they portrayed the people in Hot Shot. First of all they WERE NOT V dealers or addicts. Also there was no such thing as a Ghost Daddy or Mama or whatever kinda crap they were telling us. Although, the worst part of all was the portrayal of Calvin Norris. He was a very caring and loving person. Actually Sookie does consider being with Calvin. They have a great relationship and he is NOT killed during some raid!!

4. Jason – OK WTF? Why Jason did not turn into a werepanther is beyond me. This is a HUGE part of the books. So if he does not turn into a werepanther then there goes that character arc! He and Crystal also have a relationship but that has gone by the wayside as well.

3. Sam – Okay this whole character in the TV show is NOTHING like the character created in the books. In the books he is sweet and caring. He also has a very loving family until the shifters and weres come out of hiding as well. But he did not have a family like the Mickens and he was not adopted. He also did not have some black background where he went around killing people for money. NO that is not the Sam I loved from the books. So I still love him in the books but on the show I just don’t know what to think of him.

2. Queen Sophie Anne – Alright so first of all she is NOT killed by Bill. She is killed in the explosion at the Pyramid of Giza hotel where Sookie goes to help during the Vampire Summit. Unfortunately the hotel is bombed by the Fellowship of the Sun and both Sookie and Barry the Bellhop (who does NOT go to fairyland) use their telepathy powers to find survivors. Therefore by killing Sophie Anne you lose another character arc. Because Queen Sophie Anne also gets married to the King of Arkansas Peter Threadgill in one book and then is accused of killing him in order to gain his territory of Arkansas and is going on trial. Another thing Hadley did not live with Sophie-Anne she had her own place and is killed.

1. Eric and Sookie (and yuck Bill) – So on this topic alone I could probably write a novel but I will try to keep it brief (yeah right). So Bill and Sookie are together but in the third book he tells her he is working on a secret computer project when in fact he had been summoned by his maker Lorena to Mississippi. So she goes to save his life and ends up killing Lorena. He also almost drains her of blood and rapes her in the trunk of a car. He also pretends to date other people because Sookie is upset with him. He also at one point runs off to Peru without telling her. Therefore, after book four she begins a relationship with Eric. In this book we also have one of the best scenes ever…the infamous shower scene!! So really at the end of book two Bill and Sookie no longer are an item. That is because Bill had lied to her, hurt her and treated her pretty much like crap. While in the meantime Eric is always trying to help her and doing things for her. He also makes her feel sexy and powerful. Sookie drinks Eric’s blood three times (first time he does trick her by getting her to suck a bullet out, second time after she is staked in the side while trying to save Bill and lastly she was forced to in front of another vampire to prove that Sookie was his). This in turn causes them to share a blood bond. Therefore they can always feel and know where the other person is. She also only drank Bill’s blood either once or twice (I can’t remember). Also in an attempt to save Sookie’s life in the future Eric gives her a ceremonial knife which in the world of the vampires was considered a marriage. He did this so no other vampire could harm her. She also saved Eric’s life at the bombing of the Pyramid of Giza Hotel.

Okay like I said I could keep going and going on that subject but I think that is enough. So if you read the books you can see that Bill is the biggest jerk and just is not a good fit for Sookie. Also, things he has done in the show are terrible.

I have some others like Claudine and the Fairies. First of all the fairies were beautiful beyond anything and tall. Also Claudine DOES NOT die by Eric draining her blood. She dies after the fairy battle while protecting Sookie in the hospital.

Alright I really am going to stop now. Okay so I recommend going out and reading the books and I think you would probably agree!!

My Open Letter to Apple

Dear Apple:

First off let me start by saying how much I love my Apple products (although there are only 2). I love my iPod and my iPhone. But I have to say I have just a few suggestions (or some might call them complaints) for both.

First let's start with the iPod.

What happened to the iPod Nano 3rd Generation (which is what I have). I love this iPod but now with space running out on my 8GB I've been considering upgrading but what I'm stuck with is the following:

1. iPod Touch - which I don't need since I have an iPhone to run all those lovely apps (and I know what your thinking why don't I use my iPhone as my iPod well I don't like the bulkiness which I will expound upon later). I also want to save all my memory on my iPhone for pictures and apps! I do like the range in memory size in these though from 8GB, 32GB and 64GB.

2. iPod Shuffle - Yes it's smaller but it's like the size of a half-dollar which in turn equals easily lost. So while at only $49 a pop if you constantly have to replace it because you are losing it well then that's just not fiscally reasonable.

3. iPod Nano (touch) - Again with the micro size! I think you guys are literally trying to make the smallest music player in the world. Yeah it's got a touch screen which is bitchin but if you lose it that means forking out another $149 (8GB) or $179 (16GB). So again just not fiscally reasonable.

4. iPod Classic - It appears that you can only get things from you guys either gianormus (iPod Touch or iPod Classic) or micro (iPod Shuffle or iPod Nano). Another bulkly item to add to my purse when it is already crowded with other things. Although the memory size (the only available) at 160GB might be worth it!!
So in summation I think you guys should really consider bringing back an updated version of the iPod Nano 3rd Generation. With more memory choices available (I personally like the thought of a 160GB). The reason why. Well the size is right there in the middle between something like the Touch and the Shuffle. Just big enough to not give me heart flutters thinking I might drop it out of my bag. But also while working out it isn't to bulky so that is why I don't purchase an iPod Touch or the iPod Classic. I want something that is big enough where I feel I'm not going to constantly lose it but something that isn't so huge I feel like I've time warped to the 80s and I'm carrying around my walkman. So please Apple reconsider this model!!

Now let's move to the iPhone. Here are my only things I see that could use a little tweaking:

1. Ringtones - I understand you want us to use iTunes to purchase songs and yes I still will but why do I have to go through a five billion step process to get a ringtone on my phone? Why can't I simply just go to a site/app and be able to download it and instantly use it without have to plug my phone up to the computer? Is it really that big of a deal? They are ringtones so no I will not stop buying from iTunes because I want the WHOLE song!! Also this is where I think Droid outdoes you because they have many apps for ringtones so yeah Apple please step this up!

2. Text Message Tones - Seriously? WTF? Not only are preset tones the most annoying tones they go on for an eternity! I also like the fact with Android that you can get an app that has several hundred or thousand different text tones! My sister has an Android and she has the Harry Potter theme for her text messages or a friend of mine has the Super Mario theme. Why can't I customize my phone like that? I think you would want to outdo Droids, no?

3. Customizing Screen - Allegedly you are supposed to be able to move your apps around your phone and even from screen to screen but I still can't get this right? So AGAIN I have to plug the phone up to the computer to arrange them for easier use. Why? I think you guys need to improve upon this. Also I think if I want to have a different background photo to all 20 of my screens housing my apps I think I should be able to! So why do I have to just be stuck with one photo?

Also for both the iPod and the iPhone I think you guys seriously need to redo your earbuds! I mean they are the worst!! They are hard and uncomfortable so I go out and buy the jelly kind.

So there you have it Apple a few things that little ol'me thinks you need to put into your creative hats and come up with solutions. I mean you guys are always on the cusp of the next big thing but in these ways I think you guys are being dragged down. But again this is just my humble opinion.

True Blood Season 4 Finale

SPOILERS AHEAD...

So yet another season of True Blood has come and gone. And there is soo much to talk about.

Let’s get started shall we...

First Lafayette has been possessed my Marnie’s spirit and she wants all of Jesus’ powers for her own in order to defeat the vampires and not to mention she loves the power of such strong magic. She is sick of being scared and afraid (even though well she’s dead). In order to obtain all those powers she must kill Jesus and say some vodoo mumbo jumbo. And well she does (well technically Lafayette does) and I just wanted to cry so hard for Lafayette. Towards the end Jesus’ spirit comes to Lafayette and helps him to sort of come to terms with what he did.

Then there is Sam who has buried his brother and had a heart to heart with Maxine Fortenberry, of all people. Sam is coming to terms with his loss and trying to start a new life with Luna and her daughter. He realizes that while his brother Tommy was skinwalking and posing as Sam fired Sookie but soon he reconciles that and seems to be in good spirits until the end of the show has him facing down a fierce looking wolf!!

So Jason and Jessica had sex and Jason felt so guilty about betraying his best friend (even though Jessica and Hoyt broke up) he goes to tell him but gets a beat down and leaves feeling not so good about himself (both emotionally and physically). Jessica comes to his door dressed as Red Riding Hood (it is Halloween after all) and they proceed to get busy again and Jessica tells him she doesn’t want a serious relationship and that the physical one would have to be enough. He agrees but I can tell maybe Jason wants to be something more not only with Jessica but within himself. But right after she leaves Jason gets a knock on the door and thinking it’s Jessica opens it to find none other than Reverand Newland and as a vampire no less!!

Andy admits to Holly that he was a V user and apologized for being so weird during there disastrous date. She accepts his apology and the two hug...it was soo sweet!!

Terry gets a visit from an old Marine buddy who tells Arlene that Terry saved his life twice. But then while taking out the trash she gets a surprise from the ghost of Renee...from season 1!! He tells her he knows of Terry’s ghosts from the past and that she needs to run!! I just don’t know what that all could mean!!

Also, Alcide is at Merlotte’s and tells Sookie that he broke it off with Debbie. He also told her that he thought maybe they should seriously consider being with one another. I know this I like Alcide a hell of a lot more than Beehl and if Sookie won’t be with Eric I would prefer she be with him (on the show not in the books because his character in the books turns into Grade A asshole) or Sam (who they turned into this cold, heartless person who is nothing like the character that Charlaine Harris created and it makes me sad because a part of me likes him a little less than before)

Alright let’s get to the meat of the story Eric, Sookie and yeah Beehl (yuck)

So while possessing Lafayette’s body and after taking Jesus’ powers she takes not only Bill but Eric as prisoner and has them ready for a good ol’ fashioned bon fire.

Soon Sookie arrives with the help of Tara (because she found Jesus’ body) and Holly well because she is the only real witch they know. They find Marnie (via Lafayette) outside Bill’s house ready to roast Bill and Eric. Holly does some protection spell and Sookie uses her “magic” to stop Marnie but not before she sets fire to the wood surrounding Bill and Eric. Soon Sookie, Holly and Tara have conjured up all the spirits of their past, including Sookie’s Gran, who literally pulls Marnie’s spirit out of Lafayette’s body. Soon Marnie is comforted by not only Gran but by Antonia (who blows out the fire surrounding Bill and Eric) and she goes off peacefully into the night. And while Sookie begs her Gran to stay she admits she has to go. Then Eric says “Excuse me, we are still a little crispy up here”... man you have got to love Eric!!

Then both Eric and Bill are drinking from Sookie to heal from the burns and then comes the part that I had to keep from throwing my remote control through the TV.

After that Bill (being the complete and utter gentleman that he is...yeah give me a break) tells Sookie that if Eric is what makes her happy she should be with him. Eric thinking Sookie has only love for him gets really excited but then she has to go and ruin it!

She goes to Bill and tells him she forgives him and he was her first love and she would always love him (gosh I was ready to punch something) but then tells him that is why this was the hardest decision she had to make.

Soooo thinking that meant she was going to choose Eric she goes to him and tell him that she not only fell in love with goofy, sweet Eric but also the vicious one and there was always a part of her that wanted him. Even after the gianormus amount of lies he told her and Bill...okay please woman at least Eric did not have two sociopaths beat you to within an inch of your life just so you would have to drink his blood. He also did not start off your whole relationship with a lie. Bill was sent by the Queen of Louisana to procure Sookie because she was supposed to be part fairy. He even though he was kidnapped by wolves (but in the books he runs off willingly) and becomes prisoner with Lorena he tells her it’s over and has dirty hate sex with Lorena. He also in the time while Sookie was missing (the year she was in fairyland) he was out banging who knows what. And I could go on and on but I think you catch my drift, no?

OH yeah but that definitely makes him worthy of not only Sookie’s forgiveness but his love. I’m hoping after his blood is out of her system (again) she will not be so freaking stupid and realize he is a complete jerk and not worthy of her time but no the wonderful producer of True Blood Alan Ball won’t let that happen because of his apparent hard on for either Bill or his real life portrayer Stephen Moyer or possibly both. Okay I get it Mr. Ball Stephen (Bill) and Anna (Sookie) are married in real life but just because they are married in real life should have NO BASIS in the characters (yeah fake characters not real people) they play on TV. I know you have a right to a creative license and yes I do agree somewhat with your view that if you made the show exactly like the books some people might be bored. BUT here’s a newsflash you see Game of Thrones? Well the fans of those books are praising the trueness the books and they still love it...hmm odd how that works! Also when I see a book being made into a TV show or a movie the reason I watch is BECAUSE OF THE BOOKS!! So yes I want to see the books literally played out in front of me. You would not take the script for a great play and make it different because those who read it might be bored?

So again no amount of sugarcoating is ever going to change hard cold facts based on the characters to whom they portray on TV...Bill and Sookie are not together!! He is, as I think I’ve pointed out, a jerk and he makes Sookie weak and vulnerable while Eric brings out her independence and perseverance while at the same time bringing out Eric’s capability to love. Bill just drinks her like his own personal soda fountain (per Jason Stackhouse) and uses her as he sees fit and always thinks she’s in the way! Yeah he’s a real charmer!! Give me Eric any day. Oh you haven’t guessed it yet but I’m TEAM ERIC BITCHES!!

Sorry I got off on a tangent but anyway Sookie breaks it off with both Eric and Bill deciding it is better to be on her own (advice from her Gran).

So Eric and Bill decide to team up and they get a visit from Nan Flannigan (whom was one of the worst characters ever). She tells them frankly she was fired from the AVL (American Vampire League) and the Authority (whoever that is) and her last duty was to execute the true deaths on Eric and Bill. She also says she knows about their infatuation of Sookie and what she really was and could do but before she can blink Eric has ripped the heads off all her bodyguards (who he affectionately referred to as I think gay Storm Troopers) and Bill stakes her in the heart and Eric says very matter of factly “what a bitch”...OH MAN how I love him!!

Okay the part that really broke my heart was Pam and Ginger and how sad Pam was for Eric always choosing Sookie over her. (Although in the books - yes I’m bringing them up again - Sookie and Pam become friends and seem to get on just fine) But still love Pam and Ginger well she’s just priceless and her riding that coffin was something I don’t think I will ever forget!!

Alright so the end was genuine to the books (to a point) well Debbie Pelt being upset that Alcide cut the bond with her she shows up with a rifle at Sookie’s and prepares to blow her away but Tara jumps in the way and is shot in the head I’m sure!!

Sookie jumps Debbie and puts the gun to her throat and pulls the trigger (which in the book it’s a better written scene because Debbie comes to her house and Sookie has her own gun and just blows her away while sitting at the kitchen table and Eric still has no memory and helps her bury the body).

So it ends with Sookie screaming for someone to help and I’m sure that Bill is just dying to play hero when it should be Eric!!

Alright my peeps that is the breakdown of the season finale of True Blood season number four!! All I can hope for during next season is that Alan Ball gets his head out of Bill’s ass and sees that the majority of people love Eric and those that love Bill and his relationship with Sookie need to seek some sort of therapy. Why? Well why would you want to support the dangerous toxic relationship he and Sookie had? What I don’t get is why women support it? It just blows my mind!!

Hunger Games MTV VMA's Preview

OMG I'm soo excited they released the first preview for The Hunger Games movie last night during the MTV VMA's show. I just wanted to share this with you guys because as for me I'm super excited to see this after reading the books (started book three recently) but I have to wait until March 23, 2012! Crazy, Stupid, Love - REVIEW

Okay I honestly thought I had done this review but going back and checking on my blog I realized...uh I hadn't, LOL!!

So a couple of weekends ago I went solo and watched Crazy, Stupid, Love. I wanted to see it because from the trailer it looked to be everything a romantic comedy needs to be funny and well romantic. Also it didn't hurt that it had some of my favorite actors in it...Steve Carrell (hilarity at it's best), Emma Stone (loved her since seeing her slay zombies in Zombieland) and then there's Ryan Gosling (I want to be the Allie to his Noah if you are picking up what I'm putting down...hahaha).

I was so blown away by this movie. I knew was going to be good it had to be but I really was surprised at just how good it was.

It was funny, touching, moving and wonderful all in one. It really is one of the best romantic comedies I've seen since The Prosposal. I immediately felt so connected to the characters and felt invested in their lives and their eventual happy endings.

I totally loved the relationship between Cal (Carrell) and Jacob (Gosling). It is funny to see how the two are different but also the same. Yeah totally deep I know!

Then there is Jacob and Hannah (Stone)...OMG they are soo cute and I especially loved the scene where he shows her his big move to get girls to stay the night. What is it? Well he pulls the big lift off from Dirty Dancing...yep totally corny but also very swoon worthy!!

This movie made me laugh, cry and just feel good so I highly recommend it to anyone out there looking for a good romantic comedy!

ERIC AND SOOKIE FINALLY!!

WARNING THIS POST IS NOT PG-13!!

Last night was the best night ever in the last four years of watching True Blood! Why? Well finally Eric and Sookie got their groove on...and under a full moon no less, LOL!

I've been waiting for what seems like FOREVER to see this part of the books come to life. Although, if that little river was just an ode to the infamous shower scene in book four and therefore that means we won't get it...well I'll be upset but will console myself with the hotness that is Eric Northman (aka Alexander Skarsgard). For those of you that missed it and for those of you who are like me and want to see it again (still wearing a dopey grin when I think about it) just check out this video which features all the scenes of Eric and Eric and Sookie from last nights episode (Season 4 Episode 6 - "I Wish I Was The Moon")...also that makes me think how much I love that every episode's title is the name of a song!! Well wasn't that just lovely?? I personally think it was wonderful!! I also love how she gave her neck over and he didn't bite it just going to show it was about more than the blood for him!!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - REVIEW

Alright well I saw this movie on opening night and just now have the courage (LOL) to write this review. Why you might ask. Well for about 12 years my life has been full of Harry Potter. From reading the books to watching them be turned into movies on the big screen.

I remember reading the very first book just on a whim and I'm proud to say that I decided to get that book all those years ago. From the very first page I knew I would be lost. I was an instant Harry Potter geek and I'm proud to say that I'm probably an even bigger one now! I've read every book (except Deathly Hallows) at least twice. And to show proof of my HP dorkiness I've read The Sorcerer's Stone at least nine times...yes nine times. It is proof positive that the story is completely engrossing and wonderful that no matter how many times I find myself picking it up to read it just never gets old and even though I know the outcome it still feels like a surprise. It is still wondrous.

So with the final film installment of the Harry Potter series it was the end of all things HP in regards to books and movies. It was a sad, sad day in the life of this gianormus HP geek. I was crying throughout the whole thing because one it is sad by itself but then add into knowing that you will never read any more adventures of Harry, Ron and Hermione and that you'll never see another movie just made the sadness ten times worse.

OK enough with the sadness and boo-hooing, LOL! Even with all of that I loved the movie and I think they did a wonderful job in giving the ending to the HP series complete justice. I remember watching the ending credits roll and thinking to myself...OH NO it's really over...let's watch it again!

I just know that I will probably never find a series so magical (excuse the corny pun) as Harry Potter and I do know this I will read these books to my children when I have them because they are in a word...WONDERFUL!!

So I'm sad to have seen the end of HP but am glad to have been along for the ride!! Also, before I forget the best part was ending it with the epilogue from the book...OH I'm getting teary eyed just thinking of it. I better go before I start crying and short circuit my laptop!!

BEST NIGHT EVER!!

Alright last night was probably one of the best nights of my life. Why? Well I went to see NKOTBSB (New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys!) And for about 3 hours I was no longer 27 but instead either 8 or 13 (depending which was on stage, LOL!!)

I remember seeing Joey McIntyre for the first time and yes I screamed my heart out!! Also when I saw Brian Littrell for the first time well more with the screaming!!

I had such a blast singing all the songs and dancing around it was awesome. The guys from both NKOTB and BSB did such a wonderful job and put on an absolutely stunning show.

I do have to admit that while growing up as I said Joey from NKOTB was my favorite (I had a poster to attest to this) but I also had a secret crush on Donnie Wahlberg and last night when he ripped his shirt off I about fainted, LOL!!

Also I was kinda sad they didn't pick me to go on stage to be serenaded but however while Howie from BSB was over on our side of the stage I made a heart with my hands and he looked right at me, winked and made one as well!! It was soo great!! Also I did the same thing to Donnie and he pointed and winked at me so again I almost fainted, LOL!!

Also several times when the arena was almost quiet I would scream I LOVE YOU JOEY!! I LOVE YOU BRIAN!! or I LOVE YOU DONNIE!!

I, however, am a bit upset. Well I took my little pocket camera with me to capture this HUGE moment but when I got to the arena and was checking my camera out my battery was almost dead...but this couldn't be it had half left after the Michael Buble concert (which I totally forgot to blog about which I will have to fix later on). So all I was able to do was take video of the opening and one picture. I did have my iPhone but again I didn't realize until the very end of the concert that I did not have the HD on so my pictures were grainy...cue sad face :o(

I will edit this post as soon as I have my pictures uploaded from my camera and my phone to share with all of you!!

So yes I screamed and yelled and jumped up and down and just had the best time EVER!! I bought a shirt and plan on rocking it out!! So needless to say I had the best time ever but again wish I could have taken more photos but the memories will be in my brain forever!!

Thor - Movie Review

This weekend I went to see Thor. I have long been a fan of comic book heroes with my ultimate fave being Wonder Woman. Who is getting a TV series but I'm soo sure about it and I think she totally deserves a huge action movie. But I digress...

This movie was the ultimate action movie. I have to admit while I love comic book heroes I have never even picked up an actual comic book but I remember watching the cartoon series as a kid like the Avengers, etc., !!!

First of all let me say this Chris Hemsworth is freaking HAWT!! He did a wonderful job as Thor and I also loved Natalie Portman...of which I've been a huge fan for years.

So if you guys are looking for an action packed movie with a bit of a mythological feel to it then this movie is definitely for you.

Also stay through past the credits for an extra scene which features Samuel L. Jackson!!

So the next movies I really want to see are Something Borrowed, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Hangover: Part II, The Green Lantern, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II. I am sure there are more that I want to see but these are the ones my brain can think of right now!!

Red Riding Hood - MOVIE REVIEW

For decades, the people of the village of Daggerhorn have maintained an uneasy truce with the werewolf, who prowls at every full moon, by offering the beast a monthly animal sacrifice to quench its appetite. But under a blood red moon, the wolf changes the stakes by taking the life of one of their own.

The victim is the older sister of Valerie, a beautiful, young woman, who has just found out that her parents have arranged for her to marry Henry, the scion of the town's wealthiest family. But Valerie wants only Peter, the poor woodcutter she has loved all her life. Unwilling to be parted, the couple was planning to run away together, but, in a horrifying instant, the wolf changes everything.

As the townspeople hunger for revenge, famed werewolf hunter Father Solomon is summoned to Daggerhorn to kill the beast once and for all. But Solomon's arrival brings only more turmoil as he warns everyone that the werewolf takes human form by day and could be any one of them. No one is above suspicion. Panic grips the town as the death toll rises with each red moon, tearing apart the once close-knit village. But it is Valerie who discovers she has a unique connection to the wolf that inexorably draws them together, making her both suspect... and bait.

I was soo excited to see this movie after seeing the trailer because to me it just looked awesome. I have also loved Amanda Seyfried.

So after being soo stoked to see this I really, really wanted it to be good. Well within three minutes of the movie starting I just knew it was going to be awful. I shook that thought off and said I'm going to give this movie a shot. But for me it just getting worse and worse.

So therefore at the end of its 100 minutes I was anxious to get out of the theater and I really, really wished I could have asked for my money back.

The only thing that I liked about this movie was Amanda Seyfried, the hot guys and the absolutely breath taking scenery which is not surprising being as how it was directed by Catherine Hardwicke (she directed Twilight).

So I'm sorry other than that I cannot say anything good about this movie. Totally disappointed!! :o(

Beastly - Movie Review

I am so excited to report that I went to see Beastly this weekend. Ever since seeing the trailer I've been longing to see it because it would make me teary eyed every time (yeah I'm a sap whatever).

In getting ready to post this entry I noticed that the critics totally dissed this movie. I knew I shouldn't have read those because they just angered me. I get so freaking tired of the "experts" hating movies such as this because it isn't 20 hours long and not full of tortured souls, etc, etc. It seems it is only a good movie to them if everyone suffers and suffers lengthily (is that a word???). Anyway I don't ever listen to critics because that is merely one person's opinion of something. I would rather go on my own decision to watch a movie, read a book, watch a TV show whatever because I would have not found some great movies or books if I listened to what others have said....WHOA I've gotten way off topic here...sorry I tend to do that!

Anyway back to the movie. No this movie isn't perfect and I doubt it would be considered for an Oscar but was it beautiful anyway...YES! I was laughing, crying and just felt generally light hearted and happy after seeing it. The story was one we have heard before but it was a different take on it and I found it to be refreshingly different and wonderful. Also who the heck is this Alex Pettyfer guy and where has he been my whole life, LOL!!

So if you would love to see a movie that I feel would leave you feeling happy then you should definitely think about seeing this one but remember this is just my opinion and you are more than welcome to take it or leave it whatever you want!!

Ok I just wanted to share with you guys a movie that I'm sooo super excited to see! It is Beastly and it is a remake of the story of Beauty and the Beast and it is based on the book by Alex Flinn (Beastly Movie Tie-in Edition)...which I would also like to read!! The movie is being released on March 4. 2011 and this is so far the first movie of 2011 that I'm really stoked to see but then of course there is Harry Potter and Breaking Dawn (Twilight).

So I am going to share with you guys the trailer for Beastly because if you are anything like me you will cry every freaking time you watch it...or well maybe not, LOL!

Lip Balm, anyone?

Unlike most of those out there who love makeup like I do I do not like lipstick or lip gloss. I just don’t know why. I know they say oh this lip gloss isn’t goopy or this one isn’t sticky but they almost always are. Also, with lipstick I just feel like you will have to constantly touch it up and you end up with it all over your teeth, etc. However, I am obsessed with lip balms. In my purse right now I have a total of 5 lip balms. I prefer them over lip gloss. They make my lips fill moisturized and they also have SPF.

I currently have these lip balms in my purse:

1. Soft Lips Cherry – I love this one because it has an SPF of 20 and also when you put it on you get this tingling feeling and it leaves your lips feeling smooth.

2. Soft Lips Pearlized – I love this because it gives your lips a hint of color and shimmer. Its SPF is only 15 but that is okay. I like to wear this because it gives you the look of lipstick without having to wear lipstick

3. Napoleon Dynamite Vanilla – This was a gift from my sister because she knows I love that movie, LOL. I honestly don’t use it that often but just love it anyway because when I see it I giggle and think of the scene in the movie where he asks his brother to bring him his Chapstick because “My lips heart real bad!”

4. Carmex Moisture Plus - This is actually my favorite because not only does is moisturize the heck out of your lips but it gives them a nice little shine and it is in a tube like a regular lip balm and not the tin the regular Carmex comes in or that squeezy tube that I always seem to squeeze too much out of. It also has an SPF of 15.

5. Burt’s Bees Lip Balm - I checked the package and I didn’t see any mention of an SPF so that is the only downside to this one because it has this peppermint undertone to it which is pretty nice and makes your lips feel smooth and moisturized.

Well I created another blog it is The Romance Book Nerd and it will be my dedicated blog for everything books (all kinds but mostly romance novels). So yeah this post is short but I just wanted to let you guys know about my new blog. I will be changing the name of this one to My Life (Movies, Makeup and Madness)....totally catchy no??

So I am going to try to export all my book reviews into my new blog and maybe remove them from this blog but I dunno if I can do that yet so I will have to tinker around with Blogger and see if I can!!

OK everyone well that was my exciting news OH and bare with the new blog look I'm going to work on that later!! I've got to go walk my 3 miles...LATER!!! :o)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 REVIEW

Man where do I begin? I literally just got home from the movie theater and seeing this movie and in a word it was AWESOME! The thing is I can't think of anything else to say other than it was great, fantastic, epic, awesome, wonderful, sad, etc, etc.

I remember reading for the the first time Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone and just feeling so connected with the characters and just loving being immersed in that fantastical world of magic and in that wonderful place of Hogwarts. I literally was hoping an owl storm would stop by my place and offer me a slot at Hogwarts. After that first book I read all that were out which was up to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (which is my second favorite book next to Deathly Hallows of course). Then it was waiting with torturous anticipation for the next book to arrive to find out what Harry, Ron and Hermione (my favorite character by the way) were doing and finally with Deathly Hallows finding out how and if they were able to bring down Voldermort. I remember reading Deathly Hallows and when Hedwig is killed I got teary eyed...I mean she was an owl but it felt real and raw to me and so very heartbreaking but nothing compared to others of Dumbledore, Fred and others and most particularly Dobby...which we see in this film. I was crying no, no I was sobbing even though I knew it was coming I knew what to expect it still was very painful and his last lines really got me he said "this is such a beautiful place to be with friends"....oh no I'm getting teary just thinking about it.

So for me Harry Potter is not just some book or movie it is weaved in the fabric of my soul and some might think that is a bit extreme or crazy but I really and truly do not know how else to describe this bond I have with people who do not really exist. So to J.K. Rowling I say thank you for creating this wonderful world of Harry Potter and I'm glad I was here to take the journey and now all I need is to see Part 2 next June and everything will have come full circle.

So again the only thing I can use to describe the movie is gloriously wonderous. I highly recommend the movies but if you like to read and you have not read the books definitely give them a try and I think you will find that you too will be swept up onto Track 9-3/4 at King's Cross Station in London and then straight to Diagon Alley.

Mad Men

I thought I would share some of my musings on one of my new favorite shows...Mad Men!!

OK first let me say when this show first came on I wanted to watch it but at the time we only had one satellite box at my house and my mom didn't want to watch it so that meant well you were outta luck. But luckily I have since gotten my own box but that is not the point. Anywho, I walk every night when I get home and I watch DVDs while doing it. So on a lark I bought season one of Mad Men from Columbia House because it was on sale. Well after only three episodes I had already ordered the next two seasons. I was hooked! This show is just soo freakin' amazing. I love the characters they are complex to say the least.

I am a little adrift right now because while I was watching my DVDs season four was finishing up on the air and so now I'm left hanging...AGHHHHH...I need season four to be on DVD like yesterday!! I need to know what happens to everyone.

So here is what I feel about some of the characters:

Joan Harris

I freaking admire her soo much. She is bad ass. Plain and simple. BUT there is also this side to her that is kind and caring and one that wants to be loved. I thought when I first started watching I was going to hate her and I sort of did (I think it was my preconception of who she was supposed to be) but soon my slight dislike turned to admiration. Now she isn't perfect. She's done some not so nice things but at the same time I still loved her for them.

Roger Sterling

What can I say? I have a slight crush on the silver fox, OK!! His witticisms and view on life is funny, refreshing and somewhat crazy to say the least. I still to this day think him and Joan fit better together than him and that Jane biotch (didn't like her from the start - ok she was Don's secretary after Peggy [more on her in a minute] and she was out for marrying for money I think and she got to Roger and well he divorces his wife and marries her which I still think was a big no, no HUGE mistake).

Peggy Olson

WOW! By far and second only to Don she is my favorite character. She is the girl that isn't drop dead wow gorgeous a-la Joan but she has this quite beauty and she is smart. She is willing to work hard to keep her place at Sterling Cooper. She starts out as Don's secretary and soon is found to be a pretty good copy editor and is promoted. When she first arrives she has an affair with Peter Campbell. She then becomes pregnant *le gasp*...remember people this is the early 60s...no free love just yet. She doesn't even know until she has the baby and her sister is raising him and Peter didn't know for awhile then she tells him when he tries to be together once again. Luckily she brushes him off and sets her sights forward.

Peter Campbell

Dislike. Plain and simple. I didn't like him the first episode and I still don't really care for him or his wife Trudy. (yes he was engaged/married while messing around with Peggy).

Kenneth Cosgrove

I have to say I seriously crush on him and I really wanted to see him and Peggy together. I can't explain it. I just thought I could see them together. His role isn't huge but I still love him!!

Betty Draper

CRAZY!! What else is there to say? She runs around acting like a 12 year old half of the time. I'm still kind of on the fence with her. Not sure if I love her or hate her...only time will tell. I have to say though her character grew with depth from season one to season three. I think there is more to her and I want to see her character blossom even more and maybe even get a little crazier, LOL!!

FINALLY:

Don Draper

Okay let me just say this he is a cheater. There I said it. From the first episode he cheats on his wife and I don't hate him...WHY? Why can't I hate him? No matter how much my rational mind tells me to loathe his character and hate him he ends up reeling me back in and I can't hate him. Why do I go against everything I have ever thought of? OH THE HORROR!! I know you can only blame someone's childhood for so much (I mean he was the son of a drunk and his mom who was a prostitute died in childbirth). I think his cheating is his constant need to be loved by women trying to fill that void that his mother left. He had a stepmom but to say they were close would be a stretch. Also, if the cheating wasn't enough his name really isn't Donald Draper. He was born Dick Whitman and while in the war and after an air strike on the camp he shared with one other man who died he switches their dog tags to start a fresh life. OK I'm going to stop there because I think I could probably write a thesis on the complexities of Don Draper. Again at the end when Don finds out about Betty's new love Henry Francis and he's pissed at her for thinking of divorce I was right there with him...WHY...Oh please I wish I could figure it out but then maybe I don't really want to!!

There are more characters than this but these are my favorites either love or hate them. Let me say this I would definitely love to work for Sterling Cooper OH my bad it is now Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. So I cannot wait to see season four because I have this undying need to know what is happening with all of these characters.

Life As We Know It

This movie stars Katherine Heigl as Holly and Josh Duhamel as Messer. It starts out with a terrible blind date between Holly and Messer but with their best friends who set up the date being together then it was only enevitable that they would be seeing a LOT more of each other than they had hoped or wanted.

Suddenly both of their lives are turned upside down when their friends die in a car accident and leave both Holly and Messer as the guardians of their daughter Sophie. Soon they are having to deal with things they never excepted or planned for yet...diaper changes, sleepless nights, etc. They try to navigate the waters of work, life and raising a baby. Soon the man-whore Messer realizes that maybe all he really needs in his life are Holly and Sophie and not an endless string of meaningless one night stands but can Holly overcome her view of Messer to open her heart to him and be a family with him and Sophie?

I loved, loved, loved this movie. It had me laughing all the way through and crying wonderful, happy tears at the end. I love Katherine Heigl and I really love Josh Duhamel and all of his *ahem* assets, LOL!!!

This was a truly heart warming story. I felt happy when I left and got that feeling of "oh man I sooo want that"! This will be a definite addition to my DVD collection when it comes out. Also, I noticed that it says on a lot of the sites that the official release date is October 8, 2010 but I saw it earlier don't know how but OH WELL I loved it!!

My favorite line of the whole movie was at the beginning when Holly and Messer are in the car and Messer takes a call and basically sets up a booty call for later that night. He trys to say to Holly that it is simply a friend and she is sick and Holly says "so what you are going to heal her with your magical penis"...LOL! So hilarious and also I loved all the neighbors they were a riot especially the two gay men who were a couple and constantly hitting on Messer!! Even the "desperate housewives" were hitting on him.

So if you need a movie to make you happy (although it is sad at the beginning) then I recommend this one highly!!

Happy 27th Birthday...TO ME!!

Yeah today I turned 27...oi vey in only 3 years it will be the BIG 30...YIKES BIKES!!

Well it was a wonderful day. I just got to chill out at home and take it easy and had a wonderful meal and then had cake. I got to splurge from my diet and exercise routine. Well my wonderful sister made me a Twilight cake...YIPPEEE!! Here are some pics:

True Blood Season Finale

SPOILERS ARE IN THIS BLOG!! IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED STOP READING NOW.....

I SAID STOP...OKAY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED SO I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING!!

Last night was the Season 3 Finale of the best show ever...True Blood.

First of all let me say that all in all the finale was somewhat blah as a whole but it had some freakin' awesome moments!!

Well Sookie saves Eric from roasting in the sun by using her powers to break the silver handcuffs linking Eric to Russell. She then further helps him by donating some blood to help him heal faster. She then risks getting Russell out of the sun because Eric decides to not let him meet the true death but has other plans for him instead. This was all after seeing Godric and deciding that with the true death Russell would get peace and that is not exactly what Eric wanted. Also, Godric begs him to end the hatred. Sookie then stands guard over Russell while the vamps go to ground for the day and of course Bill thinks it is a bad idea heck he didn't even want her to save Eric by getting him out of the sun or giving him her blood. Russell tries his best to ply her with bribes to get her to release him but in the end Sookie has reached the end of her rope with all things vampire and disposes of Talbot's remains in the garbage disposal...all the while laughing menacingly.

Alcide shows up to help take Eric and Bill to dispose of Russell in exchange for Eric disposing of all of Alcide's father's debts. While dragging Russell from Fangtasia he says to Alcide and Bill "If you two are done eye-f*%king each other, can we go?". While Eric is busy dragging Russell by a silver chain Bill sneaks some latex gloves...what are those for Billy boy?? Bill of course insists Sookie stay at Fangtasia but she insists she can take care of herself and she then rescends all invitations to her home to all vampires present (aka Bill, Eric, Pam and Russell). She also says "I feel better protecting myself, now that I know I am basically vampire crack."

Jason goes Andy Bellefleur to get him to stop the raid on Hot Shot but he refuses to help. So Jason and Crystal go to Hot Shot to warn the people there of the DEA coming. Clavin quickly gets his people moving out all the evidence of vampire blood and meth but soon Crystal's half-brother/finace shows up with a gun threatening to kill Crystal for the vampire blood. He ends up shooting Calvin and Crystal goes with him to keep him from killing anyone else and in the end Jason decides to help out the people of Hot Shot.

Meanwhile, Lafayette is still having crazy visions and he immediately calls Jesus to come to him and when Jesus finally shows up he finds out that Jesus is really a witch....in the words of Layette "say what hooker"??? And he says to Jesus "You're a witch, who's a nurse, and a dude? How did I get so lucky??"...hahahaha classic.

Hoyt is met at the job site by his mother, Summer and the Bon Temps High School counselor to beg him to forget about Jessica. But as I'm glad he did he flat out refuses and later in the show we see his mom buying a shotgun...*gulp* that cannot be good although she doesn't use it in the show!

Also, Sam tells Tara that he is a shape shifter and Tara decides she has had it up to here with all the supernatural and decides to start over. She goes to her mom's where she finds her mom with the married reverand and at first we catch a glimpse of the old Tara the no nonsense kiss my a** Tara who I really liked but then she decides to keep on with her new outlook and wishes her mom the best. She goes back to Sookie's and cuts all her hair off and her and Sookie say goodbye but Sookie just thinks Tara is going to Merlotte's to talk to Lafayette when in reality she has other plans.

Sam apologizes to Terry for being such a class a d*ck to him and then goes in search of Tommy to do the same. He finds a house in a shambles and makes a bee line for Merlotte's where he discovers his money missing. He hunts down Tommy in the woods and while Tommy is trying to be sensible all Sam cares about is his money and Tommy runs with the bag of money saying "you won't shoot sh*t" and then you see Sam shoot but you don't see Tommy go down so who knows if he did??

So Eric and Bill along with Russell are dropped off at a Hevereaux contracting sight and they tie Russell up with silver and pour concrete on him. No this won't make him meet the true death but it will take at least 100 years for him to recover enough without blood from the burns he sustained in the sun. So therefore a 100 years to contemplate his loss of Talbot and everything. So while Eric is again seeing Godric's ghost who again is begging him to end the hatred good ol'Billy puts on those latex gloves he snuck from Fantasia and the silver handcuffs and pushes Eric into the other side of the hole and pours concrete over him. He then uses Eric's phone which he swiped to call one of Eric's assassins and tells him to kill Pam.

Hoyt takes Jessica to the house he rented and asks her to move in with him which she happily accepts. But then we see a creepy baby doll on the floor accompanied by even creepier music so obviously that does not bode well...then this is where we see Hoyt's mom buying the gun.

We then see Bill go to Sookie's house and of course he tries his old hat of being all morose and sad and I'm sorry yada-yada-yada bullshit. He then tells Sookie of what he did to Eric and Pam. He then backs this madness up with the statement that he decided to kill everyone who had tasted her because that would be the only way to save her blah, blah, blah. More lies on top of lies!!

WELL THEN HERE COMES THE MOST AWESOME PART:

Eric from the outside bursts open Sookie's door and basically starts asking Bill "why don't you tell her you were sent by the Queen to procure her for her blood"...which only after being forced he admits. Then Eric says "oh and why don't you tell her how you planned that attack on the first night you met so she would be forced to drink your blood"...again only after being pinned into a corner does he admit it to Sookie. Who FINALLY sees the freaking light and of course Bill goes into his old mode of I love you for you not your blood bullshit and I didn't know why she wanted you (lies, lies, lies) but once I fell in love with you I kept you hidden from her but Sookie ain't swallowing that crap anymore and tells him he does not have the right to use the word love. She kicks him out of the house. And when Bill is lying on the driveway Eric says very matter of factly "I want my phone back" totally classic Eric. Of course she lumps Eric into the awfulness of vampires based on what that douche Bill did and yells at him but he tells her "for the record I never would have given you to Russell" again with more yelling but then Eric steps to the doorway and says to her "I hate to see you suffer like this but I thought you had the right to know". As we all know Beel would never have come clean about his true intentions. So hopefully this will be enough for her to not want to be with him again.

Bill goes back to his freaking old house where he meets Sophie Anne who thinks Bill has Sookie to give her. Bill informs her that he does not have Sookie and decides to have a duel to the death in his home and one can only hope she rips his head off....ugh yeah sorry for the harshness!

It all ends with Sookie going to the graveyard to visit her Gran's grave and soon Claudine appears and asks her to go with them. Sookie goes to Claudine and it ends with Sookie disappearing with Claudine.

WHEW...that was crazy!! Anyway like I said it was a blah for a finale but it had the greatest part in it...Sookie realizing that Bill is an ass and he may have some sort of warped feelings for her but in the end her feelings for him were the result of him manipulating her to believe and feel what he needed her to feel in order to get close to her so he could procure her for the Queen.

Also why the heck did they shoot Calvin Norris?? I loved him in the books and was never really ever able to stomach how they portrayed him on the show but still shooting him??

As for Sam I loved him in the books and on the show....well until they turned him into a heartless killer...WTF??

So I'm hoping that with season 4 we get amnesia Eric and Sookie still hating on Bill and seeing the wonderfulness that is Eric Northman...sigh...

OK Sunday night I was practically like a kid in a candy store when Eric and Sookie FINALLY kissed for real...not in some fantasy but FOR REALS!! OMG I got goosebumps and my heart skipped a beat...uh yeah obviously this is truly showing my obession to the world but at this point I really am not all too worried about that!!

I just had to throw that out there and for those of you who might have missed it *gasp* if there are any?? If you didn't now shame on you! Anway check this out:

OH isn't that just mmmmm....hot, sexy and OH SO MUCH MORE?? I mean come on there was never this much chemistry between Bill and Sookie...look for the record I was a fan of the show first before even reading the books. So I loved Bill first and even then I don't remember having the same feelings for when he and Sookie first kissed although I was giddy about it...but looking back on that I was a naive fool totally unaware of the hotness and wonderfulness that is Eric Northman, Sheriff of Area 5!!

OH yeah tomorrow I will try to put up my review of Tessa Dare's Twice Tempted by a Rogue and OH CRAP I sooo forgot about The Expendables review...yep mind is like a sieve!!

Inception

I was really drawn to this movie basically by Leonardo DiCaprio...and it looked cool too, LOL! So me and my friend went to see it and I must say that while my reasons to go see it may have been shallow or transparent the movie was worth it.

The movie is incredibly thought provoking and mind blowingly awesome with not only the special effects but the plot line. I knew going in that it was about dream thiefs and pretty much that was it but it turns out that it was about soo much more. It had you thinking from beginning to end and you were not ever really sure which way it was going to go. If you thought it's going to go this way it would take you another way and you had to try to wrap your head around all that was going on. Because you are constantly floating between dreams and the real world and at the end you are in a dream, in a dream in a dream in a dream...it is effing crazy.

At the end my brain was buzzing and spinning just trying to grab onto something!! It was nuts!! Also after contemplating it further I came to a realization that:

OK in the movie each of the dream thieves had a token they kept to themselves that way as long as they had it and knew the weight of it then they would know whether or not they were in reality or a dream

Leo's character had a spinning top which had belonged to his wife who killed herself by jumping off a building. Well you need to know in the dream world if you die you wake up and you see Leo had experiment inception (the planting of an idea) with his wife while dreaming and they spent years in a dream (which would only be a few hours in real life) up until they became old and grey. Well after they woke up she still thought she was in a dream and decided to jump off the building...well me and Sara think that at the end Leo spins his top but it never topples (which it would only do in the dream state) so he in reality he has never woke up but after his wife jumped off the building it woke her up to reality.

But I don't know I could be wrong and then again you are probably reading this and going "huh"??? Yeah well I suggest watching it because then it would make total sense and I could probably spend an hour or more trying to type out the complexities of this movie and still not get all of them so I recommend just watching the movie and then deciding how you think it really ended!! Also I do not recommend getting up and going to the bathroom you will be completely and utterly LOST!!!

SPOILERS ARE RAMPANT!!!

OK as many of you know I am a passionate (or some might say obessed) fan of the show True Blood. Well my obess...I mean passion began after watching the first season and then at my sister's insistance I read the books.

So let me say this only after watching season one I was all for Bill and Sookie and could not wait to see the second season. I mean the line that really got me hooked was when Bill said "Sookie is mine"...for some reason it gave me goose bumps!!

NOW having read the books I'm not much of a fan of ol'Vampire Bill. I am a Team Eric supporter (in case you haven't already noticed that is). I was soo excited to get season two on DVD so I could see more of Eric and see the relationship between him and Sookie play out. That was my main focus for wanting to keep watching the show...and still is.

Although I must say I hope I'm not disappointed by Mr. Ball. Just last week at Comic-Con Alan Ball stated that he felt "Bill and Sookie are soulmates"...ugh gag!! Look I think Mr. Ball needs to practice some disassociation techniques. I mean just because Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin are together in real life DOES NOT mean that their characters on the show are soulmates.

In the books you get a better sense of who Bill truly is. He only seeks out Sookie because the Queen asks him to. I am not saying that he didn't grow feelings for her but all in all he used her for his on benefit and to get further up the vampire political chain. I know Eric is not a perfect character but the thing with Eric is he just doesn't give a crap. He lets you know how he feels and from what I can remember his is open about his motives. Also not to mention he is hot as hell!!

Look Mr. Ball I understand and respect your right to be creative but as I have said to my sister before there is being creative and then there is butchering a good plot. You wouldn't make Moby Dick into a TV show and make him a seal now would you? No I think not! Also if you plan on making a TV show and/or movie based on a book you need to be prepared to satisfy the readers of the books expectations. I mean some things I don't mind like him making Tara and Lafayette cousins even though in the book they aren't. Also, Lafayette is the one found in Andy's car outside of Merlotte's and not that crazy lady (she didn't even exist in the books). I do not mind this because I like the Tara he created and Lafayette. While their stories are a thread in the bigger picture of the story these things in no way are so big of changes that they could honestly change the outcome of the characters. Also Bill never created Jessica in the books but then again I do not mind this because I kinda like her. I mean I always kind of felt that Charlaine Harris was too hard on Hoyt.

SO I really hope that Sookie drinks Eric's blood for a second time because this is a HUGE part of the books. Not some minor plot point like Sam's family (who if I remember correctly he really knows in the book and is close to them until they found out about shifters). This all leads up to Sookie drinking his blood for the third time and thus becoming bonded to him and NOT to mention the fact that in terms of the vampire world they are married!!

So I hate to break it to Mr. Ball if he is basing each season on a book the next one up is book four. In this book Sookie finds Eric running down the road naked with no memory. The whole book is about Sookie helping Eric regain his memory and also during this time their relationship goes even further. So put that in your creativity pipe and smoke it Mr. Ball. While you personally may think that Sookie and Bill are soul mates everything in their universe created by Charlaine Harris says different.

AGAIN, I respect his right to be creative but the old saying of "it ain't broke don't fix it" applys here.....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not eff up the relationship of Eric and Sookie. And although I hate to admit it even if he puts Sookie with Bill I will keep watching because the show does fascinate me BUT the whole time I will be hoping for Bill to meet the sun and burst into ashes and blow away and I will try to refrain from screaming until I'm hoarse or throwing something at the TV!!

Eclipse - Review

Well here it is...FINALLY!! Sorry again for the delay but as I said my personal life has been soo effing nuts lately!! But enough of that...onward!!

So me, my sister and her friend went to see it on June 30, 2010....no it was not the midnight showing as much as I think that would have rocked!! I did have to go to work that it is why I think the movie companies should think about those of us who have responsibilities like work and things when they pick release dates but then there might be some that would argue this would separate the real rans from just the plain fans!! But you know what I say...WHATEVS!!!

OMG I loved the movie sooo freaking much!! I want to see it again...it was so awesome!! By far my fave of the series thus far!! In terms of ranking it is:

1. Eclipse
2. Twilight
3. New Moon

I must say though that New Moon was my least favorite book just because it was simply sooo depressing and for me, anyway, Stephenie Meyer has this way of writing where you can feel everything and while reading it I was seriously depressed...which is not cool man!!

I do want to hate Taylor Lautner for making me have any kind of sympathy for Jacob being as how in the book I couldn't stand his character!! I mean while reading Breaking Dawn and you go through all those chapters from his perspective...I about spit I disliked him that much!! But the scene at the end where Bella goes to see Jacob and he is lying in the bed....OH MAN I was bawling like a baby...serious hard core tears! He just ripped my soul to pieces and I felt sooo bad for him even though I did not want to at all!!

Finally, that Victoria whench got hers which was sooo great!! And I must commend the producers and everyone the fight scenes were the bomb. The graphics blew me away!!

So as it stands I wanna see it again because I saw Twilight three times in the theater and New Moon twice!! So I have to go see Eclipse at least twice right?? Right...that is what I thought!!

Meeting Charlaine Harris!!!

OMG I just had the most fantastical night!! I got to go see Charlaine Harris at the Hernando Public Library! Me and my two sisters have been waiting for this for months and finally it came!!

I must say I was a bit star struck when I first saw her (goes to show what a huge book worm I am)!! HOLY COW that place was packed there were people packed in there it was lucky the fire marshall didn't show up and issue citations!!

Well Mrs. Harris spoke for about 15 minutes and she then did a question and answer section and I asked a question...squee!! My question was "was it always your intention to have Eric and Sookie end up together or that just progress". She said she didn't plan on it and for now they were together...all I know is I hope that was not some sort of indication that they wouldn't be together at the end of the series because all I know is that would disappoint me greatly!! She did tell us that she had signed up for 3 more Sookie books and she is almost done with the first of the three...YIPEE!!!

OMG I just watched the trailer and it is the freakin' bomb-diggity!! It is soo mucho awesome that I must share it with you...so here ya go!!

Also I hope to be back tomorrow with my review of Lover Avenged by J.R. Ward. I finally finished it but it wasn't because it wasn't good because it was but I've had a lot of family things going on that have preoccupied me but I promise to post that review tomorrow if I can!!

Period Dramas (Movies)

Sorry it has been awhile since I posted but as usual life and things got in the way but anyway...

I am a self proclaimed lover of period dramas. In case you are wondering what the heck that is well it is movies like Persuasion, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Emma, North & South, Northanger Abby, etc, etc. Most of those that I just listed are based on Jane Austen books. While I have never actually read the books the movies they have made are simply stunning!! I can't get enough of them.

One of my favorites is the mini series North & South. Everytime I watch it I laugh, cry and get chill bumps all over!! Richard Armitage is well for lack of a better word HOT! The story is touching and real and that is what I love most about it. OMG do not even get me started on the scene when she leaves the factory and he is standing there saying "look back...look back at me" OH DEAR it gets me everytime *bleeping* time!!

I also love Pride and Prejudice well the newer version with Kiera Knightley (whom I adore) I recently purchased the one with Colin Firth from Amazon and plan on vegging out tomorrow after grocery shopping to watch it!!

I can't forget Sense and Sensibility starring probably my favorite actress Kate Winslet. I cry at one scene everytime it is when she walks in the rain and is standing overlooking the house of the guy she thought loved her and she is reciting a poem and the Colonel rescues her...OH MY GOSH!!!

I know I have prattled on but I just thought I would share my love of these wonderful movies/mini-series. I found an awesome video on YouTube that is a tribute to period dramas and I must say it is very well ummm sexy...hahahahahaha

I may have just found a new obsession...oh don't worry True Blood and Twilight is still there, okay!

Well the other night I watched the premiere of Justified on FX...WOW!! I loved it muy mucho!! It really is no big surprise being as how I already have an obession with cowboys...those boots, those jeans, that swagger....OK CALM DOWN GIRL!! My favorite romance novels revolve around cowboys...they honestly make my heart race like nothing else...something like this...

The star of the show is Timothy Olyphant and he too is an obession I have had since watching Hitman...yeah he makes bald freakin hot (which is kinda hard). So now I have a US Marshall to throw into the mix with my vampires...OH YEAH!!! Alright I already hate Ava or Eva or whatever her name is and there has only been one show....UGH she is a skank!!

Well starting this Sunday night my peeps HBO will be re-running Season 2 of True Blood. Since I did not get to see it when it first aired I am soo freaking pumped...even though I have already pre-0rdered the DVD set from Amazon but it won't get here until May 25th and I just cannot wait that long. Also the latest book in the series comes out on May 4th and that too I have pre-ordered...OH YEAH!!! So since I found out it the season was re-running and when as it got closer to March 21st I would skip forward on the DirecTV guide to see if it was on there and the first night I saw it I immediately hit "Record Series" on my DVR (which is the most awesome invention EVER). Here is a preview of the Season 2 encore (are you excited cause I'm excited)

So now I get to see me some more Eric...

OH BOY!! When I watched the first season and had not read the books I soo wanted to see Sookie and Bill together but after reading the books I'm more of a Eric and Sookie fan...yah feel me!!

So then I will be ready for the new season when it comes back on June 13th!!

I CANNOT WAIT!! OH BOY IT IS GONNA BE AWESOME!!

We left Memphis International Airport early that morning and flew direct to Orlando, Florida. This was my first ever plane ride and I must admit that before I had worked up myself to be nervous but pretty soon it felt like I had done it a million times before! This was the view out my window -

WOW the clouds look like cotton candy!! We landed and we took the crazy walk through the airport in Orlando and then we had to wait on our Magical Express to take us to our hotel, the All Star Music Resort:

We found out that we were chosen as the family of the day so we had a hotel employee “guide” us to our room little did we know the chick would take us around the world twice to get us to our suite. So after we put our carry on baggage in the room (although our checked baggage would arrive later) we decided to go to Downtown Disney just to look around for a bit. Then after we made it back to the room our baggage had “magically” appeared in our room. We quickly cleaned up and headed to the Magic Kingdom and the Grand Floridian to have dinner at 1900 Park Fare -

Our first full day in Orlando we went to Hollywood Studios:

We had a great time riding The Tower of Terror, Aerosmith’s Rock n’Roller Coaster and watching Lights Motor Action! We also watched Muppets 3-D and boy did this bring back memories of a kid growing up watching the Muppet Show!! Before leaving Hollywood Studios Josh, Chloe and I rode Tower of Terror again because we couldn’t get into the show they were having....I loved Tower of Terror!!!

We ate lunch at the Sci-Fi Diner...I thought it was pretty rockin...your table was like an old car and it was set up like you were at the movies in the 50s and they had this giant screen where they showed some of the most ridiculous sci-fi movie previews like the 50 Foot Woman...it was a total hoot!

I also saw this in Hollywood Studios and thought it completely hilarious:

We traveled to the Magic Kingdom this day. I was soo in awe of everything there like I was the kid instead of the adult. Everything was decorated for Halloween I loved it!!

I must admit I got a wee bit teary eyed upon first glance of Cinderell’s Castle down Mainstreet USA!! Yeah I’m a crier...oh well!

We rode Splash Mountain...it rocked socks!! I wish I would have bought our picture from that but unfortunately some dude in front of me covered my face up with his Stretch Armstrong like arm...ugh!! We rode The Haunted Mansion which was sooo totally corny but one of my faves at the end of the trip!! Now Melissa, Abby, Chloe and Kaol went to listen to Belle’s Storytime while me, Josh and Jeff went to ride some rides. We rode Pirate’s of the Caribbean (totally loved it), Stitch’s Great Escape (suckage) and the Jungle Cruise (more suckage). We met up and went to dinner at Ohana at the Polynesian Resort. The food there was tremendous....now only if our waitress (Autumn was her name) would have been just the slightest bit polite! Yeah she was rude from the beginning and ignored us for expanded periods of time (like 20 minutes) and we had to have words with the manager because we refused the automatic 18% gratuity because she didn’t deserve it!!

We went to Blizzard Beach that morning. I had a nice relaxing time floating down the lazy river although I had no idea they had water that sprayed out at various places and while completely unaware I was shot, literally, out of my inner tube...not cool! I wanted to ride Summit Plummit but admit that I chickened out at the last minute. Although we did ride Hotboat Springs that was very fun!! After going back to the hotel room to dry off we all got ready for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween at the Magic Kingdom.

We got there and had dinner at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends!

We walked around got some candy...I met Buzz Lightyear!! He was a trip! I wish had the pics from our photopass because he kissing my hand and curtseying!! We also rode the Space Ranger ride and I wish I would have bought that photo too because let’s just say I was intent, LOL!!

We also saw goofy getting down, LOL, along with Chip and Dale!!! Oh but there is a picture me and Chloe working it out on the floor, LOL!!!

We stayed and watched the Villain Light Show!! It was awesome!!! Unfortunately I was sick before we left and that day I was feeling horrible but with the long day at Blizzard Beach and the long day at the Magic Kingdom I felt BAD so me and Melissa went back to the hotel while the others stayed behind and watched the Parade. I really wanted to stay but no matter what I did my coughing was becoming worse, so this is me sad :(

This was our first visit to Epcot! I really loved all of the different countries all though I wish I could have really stopped and appreciated each one!

Our first stop was the Coca-Cola’s Club Cool. They have different flavors of Coke from around the world. Here is me trying one (I can’t remember from where) and at first it wasn’t so bad but then the awfulness of it hit me....

We stopped at Toon Town and got our pictures made with Donald...

Goofy...(yeah I got that alot...I think it was the birthday badge or maybe it is just because I’m awesome...I think it’s because I’m awesome) AND he and I danced but again those pics are on the Photopass CD and my friend Abby just recently got it back so I will have to get my own copy of it!!

We then went on to ride The Seas with Nemo and Friends have Turtle Talk with Crush...although I’m an adult I really loved this ride!!

Me, Chloe, Abby and Jeff got up for our reservations for the breakfast at Ohana. Luckily we had a different server this time. OMG that punch stuff they serve is the bomb...I think each of us drank like 5 glasses of it!! The food was good as well AND we got to meet Lilo and Stitch!

Then from there it was to Animal Kingdom (aka the 5th Circle of Hell). I know it was hot in Florida but it was like 10 times hotter in the Animal Kingdom...I guess they pump heat into it!!

We went on the safari which was pretty cool and got to see a lot of animals...most of which were asleep and seemed extremely bored with all of it!

Also this was a sign at the start of the safari and for some reason I found it extremely hilarious!!

We got to meet Pocahontas...

We missed Jimmy the Cricket...which I was sad about...this is me being sad again :(

Then we watched the Nemo stage show...it rocked I wish you were allowed to take pictures of it...oh wait Abby had a bad a$$ camera that could take pics without flash, muhahahaha!!

Then me, Josh and Chloe rode the Yeti and after getting off the ride we couldn’t find the rest of our troop we saw the single rider line only had a wait time of 1 minute we decided to ride it again...UHHH bad idea! Well I get motion sickness and this just pushed me over the edge. Well we were to have dinner at the Japanese Pavilion at Epcot so we left sans Melissa (she wasn’t feeling well) and got on the bus to Epcot when I realized half way there I had given Melissa my Key to the World card for safe keeping while I rode the Yeti and without it I couldn’t get into Epcot. So Abby, the kids, Josh and Jeff got off at Epcot I rode on to the hotel and met Melissa but after the Yeti ride (twice) the ride to Epcot then back to the hotel my stomach was very queasy so I decided to stay at the hotel.

The girls and the kids woke up and went to have breakfast with the Princesses at Akershus in the Norway Pavilion in Epcot! It was awesome we got to meet Ariel:

Also Chloe and I rode the Dumbo ride...again gotta do that right??

We did Mickey’s Philharmonic 3D...which was very fun!! We also did The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride...not my fave, LOL!! Although while we were there we rode it twice, LOL!!

That night we ate at Le Cellier in the Canadian Pavilion and had the most awesomey awesome mashed potatoes!!

MY BIRTHDAY!

We were supposed to have breakfast with the Princess in Cinderella’s Palace. My friends planned this a surprise but I had no idea I was supposed to wake up early so I didn’t and I missed it which I really hate but oh well!!

We went back to the Magic Kingdom where Kaol got his first haircut and who should we meet but Chip and Dale! Those two were a handful, LOL!!

We did the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor...really loved that one!!

Then we had lunch and Abby was tired and so me and Melissa decided to stay at the Magic Kingdom and we met the Fairy Godmother before Abby and Chloe left.

Then when we split me and Melissa went on the Pirate’s ride...

And after we came out we got to catch Captain Jack’s Pirate Lessons...OMG this guy was freakishly like the actual Jack Sparrow it was scary...

We rode the monorail and got to Epcot because we wanted to ride Test Track we took the single riders line because it was quicker...I was sooo stoked to ride this ride but in the end was very disappointed...I was expecting more. After riding test track we crashed at Toon Town to cool off and I’ll be darned if we didn’t meet up with Alice...she was by far my fave character meet. She and I talked for awhile about my birthday and her unbirthday...she was absolutely lovely!!

We went back to the Magic Kingdom because we were to have dinner at Tony’s Town Square. It ended up only being me, Melissa and Jeff. I was glad I picked it because the food was sensational!!

LAST DAY...BOOOOO! We spent that morning finishing our packing and getting ready to go meet the Magical Express to take us back to the airport for our flight home...

Also we had like two hours to kill so Abby and her crew went to Downtown Disney and brought back some sandwhiches from the Earl of Sandwhich...OMG those were TASTY!!

When we get back to Memphis my luggage along with Melissa’s is still in Florida...it never left the resort, WTF?? Well the resort was kind enough to FedEx our luggage and I had it back by the end of the week.

So all in all I had an absolutely fabulous time. It is even more special because it would be the last vacation I would take with my dear friend Melissa. These memories were precious but now they hold even more for me!!

If you have stuck it out until now then you deserve a cookie...although I don’t have one to give you! Well I really need to get in the bed!!

Rock Sugar

Hey everyone this is going to be a short blog but I just felt compelled to share the awesomeness of ROCK SUGAR!!

I am pretty sure you are going who or what the heck is ROCK SUGAR...well it is a band. They are frakking awesome. They do mashups of songs. The first one I heard was Don't Stop the Sandman which is a mashup of Journey's Don't Stop Believing and Metallica's Sandman. It is 80s rock at it's best and I'm admitedly a ROCK SUGAR fan...so if you are curious as to what it sounds like take a listen to this:

OH and I am currently working on a blog that chronicles my trip back in September to Disney World so stay tuned for that and please support ROCK SUGAR because they are pretty much the effing bomb if you ask me!!

Figure Skating....

I have always been a fan of figure skating (or finger painting for those of you who love The Cutting Edge). Although I am slowly beginning to not love it as much.

Why? Well since the fiasco back in 2002 in the Salt Lake City Games with the Canadian pairs team clearly being jipped out of the gold medal things have changed. Well they went to a new points system thinking it to be much fairer? But how is that? When teams and skaters that fall end up on the podium at the end of the day and those that skate cleanly are left with nothing. But then again I guess when you make it all about the technical aspect then I guess it does make sense. I have come to notice that the judges judge you on what they know you can do and who you are rather than what you have just done in that moment. I understand that judging will never be perfect because it is humans are the ones doing it but I think instead of changing the scoring system they should regulate the judges more and examine them more closely.

I miss the old days of figure skating. I mean now it seems it is all about how many jumps you can pack into a program. Also, the whole grabbing your blade every five seconds is annoying. That doesn't show me anything. Then add some movements akin to a chicken bouncing around with his head cut off and call it foot sequences...PAH-LEASE!! Before skating was about having just that right combination of strength and elegance now it is more about the strength.

That huge post I was talking about seemed to vanish into thin air...well I had my floppy and was at the computer where I typed it originally and when I opened it up it was empty...the file was saved but nothing was typed. So my guess is that I probably, accidentally deleted the text of the file somehow without realizing it!! OMG I can't believe it...it was LOOOONG too oh well. Basically what it was (because I don't feel like trying to type all that again) a review of the movies Leap Year and The Time Traveler's Wife, a review of the book Beautiful Creatures and just a general life update. Well I will do that now but in a more condensed version, okay? Okay.

Leap Year:

I loved this movie. It was cute, funny and dare I say it sassy, LOL!! The story was cute and the actors were utterly delightful. Plus it takes place mostly in Ireland and being as how I have some weird obession with Ireland and all things Irish I knew I would love it! So if you want a cute, funny and romantic movie then you must see this one!! (*****5Stars)

The Time Traveler's Wife:

Okay how can a movie be sooo freakin sad and sooo freakin good all at one time? I dunno just one of those questions of the universe I guess! I adored this movie...the story was excellent and again the actors wonderful. (I mean how can you NOT like Eric Bana after seeing Troy....AHHHHHH what you have never seen Troy are you crazy...go out buy it now and watch it you shall not be disappointed. I mean for the guys it has fighting and for the girls well it has Pitt, Bloom and Bana nuff said, LOL)!! I highly recommend this movie but be forwarned you might need a tissue (or twelve).(*****5Stars)

Beautiful Creatures by Margaret Stohl and Cami Garcia:

I read this book at the recommendation of the morning radio station I listen too...and what is soo shocking is this book is considered Teen Fiction and the DJs who recommended it are guys...older guys at that...go figure HUH? Well the story is well written and the characters well developed. You really feel the emotions of the characters and the places....MAN you feel like you are standing in the swamps of South Carolina...WONDERFUL!!! (*****5Stars)

Life:

Well this was the longest section and again I don't feel like trapsing through it again but basically it was just an update of my life.

My life has changed some since December of 2009...well for one thing my best friend passed away suddenly. And since then my life has not felt real. It has felt like a dream and that at any moment I will get a call from her and she will say that she just was on vacation and she was sorry to have worried me. Then we will laugh and make plans to hang out. But unfortunately that won't ever happen. I remember the morning of her passing I still did not want to think it was real so I called her cell phone and her voicemail picked up and for a brief moment she was still there.

I miss her so much and I grieve for the life she deserved. She had soo much life in her and so much happiness and joy that I still have a hard time comprehending how she could be taken from this world. I know God has a plan and I know I might not always understand it but I do know that I have to trust in Him to know what is right even if it is hurtful. I still find myself crying sometimes...when I look at pictures from our vacations or like the other day hearing a song on the radio that we loved to sing loud and off key too. She was my partner in crime and she will always be part of me and I learned one of my greatest lessons in life from her: don't be afraid to live your life how you see fit and do not let other people's dictates guide you...be yourself that is what is most important.

Well I think I've typed enough for now...I am quite sleepy and in need of a good night sleep!!

It's Been Awhile

Well I had planned on posting a HUGE and I do mean HUGE blog tonight but unfortunately I typed it up on another computer and saved it to a floppy (yes I know it is archaic but that's I all I got to work with). So I will have to wait until I get back to that computer and save it in a different format so until then I really have no blog.

So I just thought I would let you know that hopefully come Monday I can post that gianormous blog I wanted too but until then I must bid you ado!!

Green Day vs Wal-Mart

The other day I noticed on Yahoo's main page a story about Green Day and Wal-Mart. So after reading it I found out that Wal-Mart was refusing to sell their new album because they refused to censor it in anyway. Well first off let me say I am not a huge Green Day fan but I give them props for this. Why? Well why should Wal-Mart tell me what I can or cannot buy or listen to? UH they can't! Also what I do not understand is Wal-Mart sells unrated movies but OMG let a song have the word s**t in it and it is the worst thing in the world. Wal-Mart says it is their policy not sell albums with the sticker "Parental Advisory" well all I can say is they need to quit being so hypocritcal. I mean if that is the case they should NOT sell unrated movies OR they should sell CDs with the label "Parental Advisory".

Well that is just how I feel and thought I would post my thoughts and see if I can get some of your opinions!!

Enchanted - Review

Well I'm finally blogging about the movie Enchanted that I saw 2 weeks ago. This isn't like me waiting THIS long!! Well anyway on to the review. This movie is about Giselle (Amy Adams) who lives in the magical land of Andalasia (which is animated) she is just a simple country girl waiting for her prince to rescue her and as luck would have it she falls into the lap of her prince...Prince Edward (James Marsden). Even though this is the first time they have met they know that they complete each other's heart's duet. But Prince Edward's wicked step-mother, the Queen (Susan Sarandon) doesn't want anyone to take away her throne so she pushes Giselle down a well where she emerges in real life Manhattan where she meets Robert (Patrick Dempsey) and his very precoius daughter. Soon Giselle learns that in this real world life isn't the perfect fairy tale that she always thought it was. Also Prince Edward, Pip the squirrel (Giselle's best friend but who now cannot speak in the real world) and the Queen's flunkie Nathaniel (Timothy Spall) jump into the well to save Giselle. So while Edward is trying to find and save Giselle, Nathaniel is trying to keep him from doing so and keeping Pip out of it, too. But the Queen soon realizes that she is the only one to finish the job so she falls into the well to kill Giselle herself. Giselle finds herself in a sticky situation she is still holding onto her fairy tale dreams but she is also falling in love with the real world and Robert. In the end Giselle and Robert live happily ever after...now during this whole I was like NOOO Giselle you gotta be with Edward because you see Robert had a girlfriend too and I just didn't them to be left out in the cold for no reason but at the very end all things worked and I was happy with the ending. So if you just wanna go see a lighthearted movie then Enchanted is that movie and it is also pefect for the whole family!!

Well it is my first offical blog (well on this site anyway!!) I'm soo very excited about this!! I don't really know why but I am. I guess I should introduce myself, huh?? Well I am 24 years old and I'm a legal secretary and I live in a very small town in Mississippi. I will be posting things about my life and experiences as well as reviews for books and movies. Just so you know I read romance novels. The only books that I've read that aren't romance books are the Harry Potter books and I am a Harry Potter and I'm OK admitting that!! Now as for movies I like alot of different things like comedies, thrillers, horrors, romances, romantic-comedies, action. To sum it up for you I am a girl so I do like romance movies but hey give me a movie where people get shot and shit gets blown up and I'm just as happy!!
